Speaking to the children, Harrysong encouraged the children to stay focused and not allow themselves to be overwhelmed by their situation.

‘I am happy to be in your midst. Your situation only reminds me of my life as a growing up child; but by the grace of God I rose up above my situation and today I am star, a role model and today I can see in your midst, stars who would change the world, stars who would reshape our country, stars who would further rebrand our the image of our dear country Nigeria, stay positive, work hard and pray hard’.

“I like Davido. I think he is amazing. I also like Phyno. He has captured my heart. Dare Art-Alade is awesome… Yes! I would love to work with them, including Asa”, she said.

Actress, Toyin Aimahku Clears Her Name Over Alleged #SaveMayowa Scam.

Nollywood actress, Toyin Aimahku, has denied allegations connecting her to an alleged fund-raising scam for the operation of Ahmed Mayowa, a lady diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.

Aimahku has in a video gone viral appealed to well meaning Nigerians, in a bid to raise a sum of 100,000 dollars for the treatment of the patient.

Things appeared promising, as donations came in to support the invalid, who was admitted at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).

Unfortunately, unconfirmed stories started making the news rounds, accusing Aimahku of being part of an organised fraud.

The actress in an Instagram comment posted on Friday, July 29, 2016, has denied the accusation.

She wrote,

“In view of the recent happenings around Mayowa Ahmed’s ill health and the many allegations of fraud surrounding the funds raised, it has become imperative that I come clean by stating my side of the story and by implications, set the record straight.

“When I got wind of Mayowa’s sickness, I was moved to tears and immediately sought to know how I could help, hence my on-the-spot video which went viral as my genuine intervention.

“Indeed, I was overwhelmed by the quick response of well-meaning Nigerians to whom I will forever owe a debt of gratitude. But all this changed yesterday, Thursday 28th, July, when I went to the hospital in the morning to check as well as follow up on Mayowa. Her brother had told everyone to leave them alone because they wanted privacy. Although I was shocked at the sudden change in attitude, especially the tone of communication, I still did not suspect anything was amiss.

“However, on my way out, I received a call from one Aramide Kasumu of Life Stake Foundation, who would later claim the whole Mayowa Ahmed fund raiser was a scam. Importantly, she wanted to know the extent of my involvement and in her words, “so that when they are giving their reports, I would not be roped into it”. She went further to state that the family deceived everyone in the first place by raising funds for Mayowa despite the fact that her case was helpless and the hopes of her survival was near impossible. She seemed to know so much, I reckoned.

“Upon hearing this, I was appalled and in a bid to clear my name, I went back to the hospital in palpable anger and demanded explanations from all concerned. Perhaps, I overreacted when I went into a rage of anger over the matter with the CSO. I then alerted the Police PRO, who invited the parties involved to the police command.

“I want to state for the record that I have never been a fraud and will never partake in one, not even at this stage of my career (which I hold to heart). All my efforts were strictly on humanitarian grounds without recourse to any pecuniary consideration or the resort to cheap fame.

“That said, whatever discomfort my reactions may have cost anyone from any quarters is highly regretted and I take responsibility.

“Whilst I wish Mayowa a quick recovery and divine intervention, I want to urge us as a people to continue to exhibit that enviable Nigerian spirit of compassion and generosity and not because of this isolated case cease to be our sister/brother’s keeper. I love you all and thank you.”

Toyin Aimahku has built a reputation for her unique compassion for the downtrodden in the society.
Her spirit of compassion for the weak and disadvantaged was manifested earlier in 2016, when she showed concern for an actor who wanted to commit suicide.

She was seen in a video appealing to the actor to abandon his intentions, in an ocean of tears.

A Good Wife Can Overcome Martial Issues,If There Is No Abuse - Actress Omotola Writes.

Omotola Jalade-Ekehinde, who recently celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary, had an interview with The Nation. It was an interesting encounter as the mother of four opened up on her marriage and other related issues.

How has it been, 20 years into marriage?
It’s just been fun. I’m married to my friend and should I say, my destiny supporter. There’s no relationship without its challenge. When people hear that we celebrated twenty years, they think we must be really without stress or anything, but I just want to let people know that if you are determined to do it in life, if you are determined to make it, you will make it. You have troubles in life generally anyway; either with your parents, or with your siblings.

So it’s just like that. It’s a normal thing.

Don’t use any opportunity or any quarrel in a relationship with your spouse to justify the fact that everybody says marriage is hard. It’s not any harder, I think, than any other relationship you’ve had in life, maybe with your business partners or with your siblings. I understand that there are some marriages that have more challenges than others. If there is abuse involved, I think you should find your way out quickly. But if there is no abuse, then there is nothing you cannot overcome. Given that, I have had a very wonderful time with my spouse. We’ve just been friends. That’s what matters most.

On having grey hair
Well, I’m 38 years old so I’m not scared. But even if I was 51, that’s not the point. I’m growing younger if you actually think about it. Even babies these days have grey hair. Anyways, that’s not the point. The point is, in life, I think we should all embrace who we are. And I think when people are sufficient or feel sufficient in life, and you feel like you’re achieving, you really wouldn’t be afraid of age.

I think people are afraid to age when they actually look at where they are in life and feel like they’ve not achieved much. They feel like time is running by. I think that’s actually the reason why people are afraid of aging if you really go into it. But if you are contented in life and know that all fingers are not equal and you are where you are meant to be, because you could actually be six feet below. That you’re alive and well in itself is a reason to celebrate age. I don’t think that’s a reason why not.

On her definition of beauty
I think beauty, first and foremost, is in the confidence. If you are a confident woman and you understand your self-worth, I think you are beautiful. That is why sometimes you see some girls that you think, visually, in your own definition, are not aesthetically beautiful.

But any time they walk into a room, everybody turns. And you wonder why everybody is looking at that girl. She’s not even that fine. If you get it together, she is a confident woman. So beauty for a woman, even for men but especially for women, is knowing your self-worth, understanding yourself, understanding your body and working with what you have. Most

women don’t have everything. Even I don’t have everything but there are things that you have, so work with what you have.

My Father Turned His Back On Me Because I Gave My Life To Christ - Evangelist Eucharia Anunobi Says.

Evangelist Eucharia Anunobi, a veteran Nollywoof actress, has shared some of her experiences with Vanguard on giving her life to Christ and how her own dad, who is wealthy, turned his back on her and her sisters just because they were girls:

My colleagues were laughing at me that my mates are busy doing aristo, seeing governors and going to clubs in VI and Ikeja, you chose going to church. They said something is wrong with me, with all my brilliance. But today, by the grace of God, where I go or sit they can’t.

“I have a first degree in English Language, a Masters in Social Work and I’m a Doctor in waiting. I did my Masters in LASU. We began as 78 students, only 48 passed. Out of the 48, only 2 people had the aggregate to qualify for their PhD. And Eucharia Akuwa Anunobi happens to be among the 2.

The other one was a lady as well. In everything, I make my boast in Jesus Christ. I went back to school just about 6 years ago so it is not too late for anyone whether male or female to go back to school. There’s need to go back to school and get education even if you are 75 years old.

In my case, I come from a privileged home, I’m ajebo. We lived at no 5 Musa Yaradua Victoria Island. In fact we were the last set at Federal School of Arts and Science. I have As in English, Government, Literature etc, at the end, I wanted to go to University and I’m the first born but my father said he had no interest in training the female gender in his family after secondary school.

With all his riches and my brilliant result he refused to sponsor me to University except the boys.
He abandoned me on the way and that was how at the age of 16, I started fighting for my destiny. This was what made me begin seeking God at a very early stage.

How did you pull through?
A good friend, Peter Ononiwu who knew me back then said I have the endowment to become a model and that was how I started modeling. I was on so many fashion shows at the time. I was determined to show my father that I am not a mistake of creation, there’s a reason God made me a girl. On my own I said a girl must be somebody. After all, Christ came through a woman and when he resurrected it was a woman that saw Him first. There is a special grace God gave to women and that’s power of intuition.

A woman with Christ is a destiny finder and helper. So, by the grace of God I passed Jamb and got into University of Nigeria Nsukka and for the 4 years on campus, I paid my school fees all by myself. I am Eucharia all by myself. There’s a reason why God allowed my father to turn his back on me and my sisters. If I had it all perhaps, I wouldn’t have discovered who I am and wouldn’t have been as successful as I am today.

– Runs or ashawo can’t take a lady far, it will only make her buy expensive clothes and take pictures in different hotel rooms where all sorts of men sleep with her and give her money

Why My Dad Threatened To Arrest D'banj & Don Jazzy.

Popular African musician and Nigerian superstar, Davido has finally revealed what made his dad threaten to arrest D’banj and Don Jazzy.
Nigerian singer, Davido has finally revealed why his dad, Deji Adeleke threatened to arrest D’banj and Don Jazzy over a controversy. He made the revelation in an interview with Ebro Darden of Hot 97 in New York, days after his performance at One Africa Music Fest.

"I was hanging out with D’banj at the time, he had that Kanye deal. I now told my Dad that I was trying to stay, and he was like ‘What? My friend you better go back to school," he recalled.

"I called my roommate, and told him ‘Imma do this no more. If my Dad calls, tell him you don’t know where I’m at.

"When I left, my family was looking for me for like six months. They sent a letter to D’banj house, they sent a letter to Psquare house, they sent letters to everybody’s house. My Dad was calling the school, and they were telling him; ‘He wasn’t even here for the past semester, he left..’

"It was like the whole Nigeria knew who I was before I even dropped a single. Kamal that is my manager now, used to be Don Jazzy’s assistant. My Dad started calling him and said ‘if I see you guys with my son, all of you are getting arrested."
He said it was because his dad thought he had gone missing and he didn’t like his association with the musicians as he wanted him to finish school first before any other thing, made him threaten to arrest them.
He also revealed that he has three songs in the works with American rapper Young Thug, while also defining his genre of music.
"I don’t even call my music Afrobeat, I call mine Afrofusion. To me it’s just too different. I can’t tell you it’s Afrobeat, because it’s not.
"You know the originator of the Afrobeat is Fela. Fela has a sound which I can say has heavy baseline, brass instrument, [and] the percussion is different. If you ask me ‘Gobe’ is Calypso, Afro mixed with Calypso. But I feel like the Afrobeat is catchy and has caught the wave since time. Because I know some Afrobeat songs that I don’t want to call Afrobeat. I call them Afro-Pop or I call Afro Trap. Everything is just still African music,"he said.
